The provincial superior Constant Kienge-Kienge arrived in Calueque, in southern Angola, on Tuesday 16 January. He arrived from the capital Luanda via the city of Lubango, with three colleagues: the superior of the Angola Mission, Father David Ibwidi, the superior of the community of Calueque, Father Adélard Mapinda and the deacon Manuel Ndala.

Since January 6, Father Kienge-Kienge made his first canonical visit to the Mission of the Oblate Province of Congo. He met the Oblates in the Mission House in Luanda.

The provincial superior also met with members of the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate (AMMI), lay associates of Oblate missionaries. Father Kienge-Kienge reminded them of their relationship with the Oblates through mutual attachment to the charism of Saint Eugene de Mazenod.

The lay associates of Angola wish to intensify their relationship with those of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The provincial father wished to see some attend the next Provincial Assembly of Oblates scheduled for February 26 to March 2, 2024 in Ifwanzondo, in the Diocese of Idiofa in the DRC.
