Following the celebration in Idiofa of the approval of the bicentenary of the Constitutions and Rules, 80 Oblate missionaries of Mary Immaculate and lay associates from the DRC and Angola participated in the Provincial Assembly held in Ifwanzondo's retirement home from February 9-13, 2026.

The 2026 Provincial Assembly was held as an evaluation of the three-year term of office of the Provincial Superior Constant Kienge-Kienge and his Council. At the opening of the works and at the close, the provincial recalled. He thanked the Oblates for their participation and hard work.

Fraternity, training, commitment to education and finance were the issues discussed in this assembly. The methodology of the work has been the essential originality. It is the synodal method that imposed itself, following a recommendation of the Superior General, Father Ignacio Kings Alonso and that of Pope Francis during the synod on synodality. In the conference room of the retirement home of Ifwanzondo, we exchanged around « synodal tables ». Listening to each other was the best method to follow for further communion among brothers. Nobody wanted to be right by imposing their opinions...

As participants, we must count the 13 novices of the novitiate Brother Muke of Ifwanzondo. They did not just provide services. They got their sharing table. And like all the other participants, they presented to the plenary the results of their sharing. The laymen, members of AMMI (Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate), did the same. Coming from Angola and the DRC, they lived the experience with great gratitude.
