Fathers Asodo Istoyo, assistant general of the congregation, and Alberto Gnemmi, general adviser for Europe, returned to Rome on Wednesday, April 1. The Congo Provincial Superior, Father Constant Kienge-Kienge, accompanied them to Kinshasa International Airport, known as Ndjili Airport. Father Jean-Baptiste Malenge was from the group as president of the « Discernment Committee for Provincial Administration Renewal » (CODRAP).
On behalf of the Superior General, Father Ignacio Rois Alonso, the two guests came to listen to their colleagues from the DRC and Angola as the three-year term of the Provincial Superior Constant Kienge-Kienge and his council ends. The superior general in council will renew the provincial superior's mandate for another three years. A new provincial superior may also be appointed.

Fathers Asodo Istoyo and Alberto Gnemmi will report to the superior general on their exchanges with the confreres of the Province of Congo. They met them in the capital Kinshasa or in Kikwit, Idiofa and Ifwanzondo, in the administrative province of Kwilu. The consultation was also conducted by telephone or by WhatsApp with colleagues from Angola or communities of Opala, Aketi and Ekama in the Congolese provinces of Tshopo, Bas-Uele and Mongala.

Father Gnemmi presided over the morning Mass in the chapel of the provincial house of Kinshasa-Barumbu.

The day before, 31 March, it was Father Istoyo Asodo. A fraternal meal then brought together the Oblates of the provincial house and those of the neighbouring community of Saint-Eloi parish.
