Presentation of theological degrees at De Mazenod University in Kinshasa

Six nuns were among the thirty-five bachelors in theology proclaimed on Saturday, July 13, at the official closing of the academic year at De Mazenod University in Kinshasa.

The Rector of De Mazenod University, Father Macaire Manimba, awarded the diploma to each of the students in the presence of the university community and the confreres and consoeurs who came to participate in the ceremony and closing Mass presided over in the chapel of the scholasticate Saint Eugene de Mazenod by Father Guillaume Muthunda, provincial vicar of the Oblate Missionaries and president of the board of directors of the Oblate University.

Father Guillaume Muthunda invited students and academic and scientific staff to honour the patron saint of the University, Saint Eugene de Mazenod, who asked for « making men reasonable, then Christians, finally helping them to become saints ».

The president of the board of directors officially handed over to the rector the decree of the Dicastery of Culture and Education renewing the recognition of the theological studies provided by the Saint Eugene de Mazenod Theological Institute, in other words the Faculty of Theology at De Mazenod University in Kinshasa.
