Towards the celebration, on 8 February in Idiofa, of the bicentenary of the Constitutions and Rules

The Bishop of Idiofa, Monsignor José Moko, will preside at Idiofa on Sunday, February 08, at the Mass for the bicentenary of approval of the Constitutions and Rules of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate by Pope Leo XII.

The provincial superior of the Congo, Father Constant Kienge-Kienge, invites to prayer for this feast that marks the identity of the congregation that arrived in the present Idiofa in 1931 before spreading to six other dioceses of the DRC. The bishop of the neighbouring diocese of Kikwit, Bishop Timothy Bodika, will concelebrate at Mass on February 8.

The many Oblates will come from both the DRC and the Mission of Angola, where the Oblates serve three dioceses: Caxito, Luanda and Ondjiva.
