The Provincial Superior of the Oblates of Congo (DRC and Angola), Father Constant Kienge-Kienge, presided on Tuesday, May 07 at the funeral Mass of Brother Trudon Pebangu, who died on May 1 in Kinshasa. The cemetery of the scholasticate Saint Eugene de Mazenod welcomed a new member.

Trudon Pebangu was a member of the scholasticate community. He was a trainer and then a resident. The superior of the community, Gabriel Matakumba, recounted the illness and death, but also the life of his colleague. Trudon Pebangu was born in 1941. Because of the rebellion of Pierre Mulele (from 1963 to 1965), he went to finish his novitiate in Lere, Chad, and made his first wishes there. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa. He became a professional who, for example, led a carpentry school in Koshimbanda, Diocese of Idiofa.

Father Constant Kienge-Kienge emphasized the testimony of a life of faith. Various other testimonies converged to highlight Trudon Pebangu's Marian devotion and passion for work. Many saw a sign in the date of May 1, the feast of St Joseph's Worker and the beginning of the Marian month of May.

At homely, Father Baudouin Mubesala presented Brother Trudon Pebangu as « to believe » and « will to live ».
