Christian Mbadiko became a priest

Deacon Christian Mbadiko was ordained a priest on Saturday 11 May in the parish church of Saint Rita in the city of Kinshasa but under the neighbouring diocese of Kisantu. Bishop Dominique Bulamatari, Emeritus Bishop of Molegbe, ordained the new priest. Oblate Bishop Louis Mbwol, bishop emeritus of Idiofa, also imposed his hands on the new priest. The provincial superior of the Missionary Oblates in Congo, Father Constant Kienge-Kienge followed the two bishops and he himself was followed by some twenty of his Oblate confreres of Mary Immaculate.

At the homily, Bishop Bulamatari gave thanks to God for the choice of Christian Mbadiko called to the priesthood to prepare the people of God for salvation, to heal them from every spiritual disease. The bishop also thanked Father Christian Mbadiko himself for his reply and for his donation by the sacrifice of himself. Bishop Dominique Bulamatari also congratulated the parents of the new priest and the congregation of the Oblate Missionaries of Mary Immaculate.

At the end of the Mass, the Provincial Superior of the Oblates thanked the Bishop Emeritus of Molegbe and the Bishop of Kisantu, Bishop Crispin Kimbeni. Father Constant Kienge-Kienge announced that the new priest would continue his studies in Rome next month before returning for the ministry in his native country.
