A new Congolese Oblate priest, Father Jérémie Makama, ordained to Idiofa

The Oblate missionaries of Mary Immaculate include a new priest, Father Jérémie Makama, ordained on Saturday 15 February in Idiofa by Bishop Jean-Pierre Kwambamba of Kenge.

An opportunity for the strengthening of faith, hope and charity. The bishop of Kenge, Bishop Jean-Pierre Kwambamba said after the priestly ordination of an Oblate missionary of Mary Immaculate, Father Jérémie Makama. It was on Saturday 15 February in the Cathedral of St Kizito of the Diocese of Idiofa. The bishop of Kenge stressed the perseverance of young Jeremiah Makama until the priesthood.

Many Oblate missionaries of Mary Immaculate from the diocese of Idiofa, Kinshasa or elsewhere, and diocesan priests of Idiofa and Kenge concelebrated and laid their hands on their new fellow priest. In the assembly, the parents of the new priest were surrounded, among others, by many faithful of the parish of St. Kizito and the parish of St. Charles Lwanga of Idiofa. Father Jérémie Makama did his diaconal internship there.

The new priest thanked each other, and instead gave himself to divine grace for his vocation and future mission.

And the provincial superior of the Oblate missionaries of Mary Immaculate, the constant father Kienge-Kienge, said his joy and that of all his congregation to have a new priest.
