Father Joseph Ntumba is appointed episcopal vicar in the diocese of Idiofa

Oblate Father Joseph Ntumba is appointed episcopal vicar in the Diocese of Idiofa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He will reside in the dean Saint Thérèse of Mapangu, Kasai Province.

In the decree of appointment signed on Saturday, July 26, the bishop of Idiofa, Monsignor Joseph Moko, assigns specific tasks to the new bishop vicar: « He is responsible for pastoral work, parish erections and settlement in the eastern part of the diocese. »

Father Ntumba, former novice master at Ifwanzondo (Idiofa), was provincial superior of the Missionary Oblates of the Province of Congo from 2017 to 2023. He is currently a missionary in Angola.

Born on 30 December 1963, he made his first religious vows on 08 September 1990 and was ordained a priest on 02 August 1998.
