To celebrate the Immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary, the Oblates of Kinshasa organized a cultural evening under the theme: « Tribalism and digital blackmail ».

The cultural evening followed the Mass presided in the chapel of the scholasticate Saint Eugene de Mazenod by the provincial superior, Father Constant Kienge-Kienge. Father Abel Nsolo, a puppeteer, pronounced the homily. He explained the history and meaning of the Immaculate conception in the Church. He also told how and why Saint Eugene de Mazenod changed the name of his congregation to dedicate it to Mary Immaculate in the 19th century.

The provincial superior then instituted readers and acolytes of the scholastic Oblates studying theology at De Mazenod University.

The cultural evening was organised thanks to the partnership with theWomen's Christian Union, a youth management association with multidimensional support. The association aims to spread the culture of peace, hence its partnership with another association, « Bread for the world », which raises awareness among young people through theatre.

A theatre-forum was produced on the theme: « Tribalism and digital blackmail ». The choir The Rossignols of the parish of St. Albert the great of the neighborhood near My Campaign embellished the evening with singing.

A good dozen minutes of the evening was occupied by Oblate scholastic brother Félicien Madidi. He charmed the audience with a slam piece of his own on the « Living together ».
