They entered the procession after having changed habit at the end of the Mass celebrated on Saturday, September 14, in the chapel of the scholasticate Saint Eugene de Mazenod in Kinshasa-Kintambo. They left to the sacristy the red of the celebration of the glorious Cross. They carried the white of the flocculated chasuble of the Oblate cross for the jubilee of priestly ordination: Didier Mupaya and Bosco Kiabilua, or they carried the Oblate cross on their new sudan for the jubilee of the religious profession: Berthier Eyer, Frédéric Ingele and Blaise Phola.
The provincial superior, Constant Kienge-Kienge, who presided over the Mass, gave the meaning of this celebration of the silver jubilee of oblation and priesthood as a moment of fraternal communion. He urged the jubilaries to « reset », as in the morning of their first oblation and priesthood, with these new clothes sewn by the young Oblate Ermith Kibala.

The communion of the Oblates is also communion in the Church. This is the meaning of the papal blessing received by each of the jubilees. The provincial superior read aloud every blessing...

The celebration of this Jubilee Day fell well on the day of the glorious Cross. The jubilaries clearly bear the Oblate cross received during the profession of final vows. Father Didier Mupaya, who pronounced the homily, took on the meaning of the glorious cross in the mystery of salvation taught by the Church. In the history of the congregation, he stressed the importance given to the cross and the sign since the founder Saint Eugene de Mazenod. The Oblate cross is the only distinctive sign: the Oblates can carry the sudan according to the clergy of the country of their mission.

The five jubilaries of September 14 represent others who were ordained priests on September 1and August 1999 in Kinshasa or who made their first vows on 8 September 1999 in Ifwanzondo. They were held away from Kinshasa by the mission or a forced displacement: Jean-Pierre Fetshi for the oblation and Jean-Lambert Nzaji, Jean-Marcel Gatshuya, Jean-Noël Muzengi, Crispin Mayuyu, Jean-Baptiste Mpuni and Hervé Muyo for the priesthood.

For the present and for the absent, after Mass, a meal was offered to members of the family, families and guests.
Father Jean-Baptiste Ngwangu sang for them. His musical orchestra produced to perform his first album of songs entitled « The Time of Grace ».
